TUI UK & Ireland has added Tirana and Sofia to its citybreak program. It now has over 50 city destinations.
Chris Logan, commercial director of TUI UK & Ireland, said: “The addition of these cities to our portfolio comes after the launch of our dynamic partnership with Ryanair, which means we are offering more flights and ultimately more destinations, hotels, and excursions for our customers.
“The new partnership has enabled us to offer Tirana and Sofia as city break destinations and we are really looking forward to taking customers to these exciting cities that have so much to offer.”
He noted that Albania in particular has become very popular in recent years, with social media particularly highlighting it.
“We want to offer destinations that we know are in high demand, and both cities offer a mix of culture, history, nightlife and natural beauty to suit a range of travellers,” he added.
As reported, Tirana, the capital of Albania, offers attractions such as Skanderbeg Square, Bunk’Art, and the Pyramid of Tirana.
The Bulgarian capital Sofia offers sightseeing opportunities with the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the St George Rotunda – or the chance to take a short trip to Mount Vitosha for walking and hiking.
