On Sunday, September 28, a meeting of the Pierian Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) with executives of the leading Polish tour operator “Grecos Travel” was held in Pieria, following an initiative by the President of the Organization, Mr. Giorgos Karalis.
The visit of the representatives of “Grecos Travel” had as its main objective direct contact with the tourist businesses of the region and the search for new fields of cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Chamber of Pieria in P.O.T.A.P., Mr. Stratos Chalkidis.
The discussions focused on the strengthening of arrivals from Poland, the extension of the tourist season, as well as the promotion of Pieria and the “Olympus Riviera” brand as a destination that combines alternative forms of tourism.
P.O.T.A.P. welcomes the visit of the executives of “Grecos Travel” and underlines the strategic importance of the Polish market for the tourism development of the region. At the same time, it declares its intention to continue the coordinated efforts to further strengthen the presence of Pieria in Poland, aiming at the sustainable and stable development of tourism.
