Schools in Greece will soon have access to faster internet connections, as the ministries of education and digital governance on Monday said are taking action to upgrade schools’ internet connections via the Greek School Network, the national network of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs which interconnects all schools of primary and secondary education, ANA reports.
Current ADSL connections used by schools will be updated to VDSL broadband technology connections by the current contractor without any additional costs to the state. Furthermore, schools will get even faster FTTx connections after the upcoming closure of an open tender for a new contractor of Syzefxis II, the project of the Interior ministry updating the public sector’s telecom infrastructure.
