Labor Inspectorate: New tool for detecting violations in the use of the digital labor card

The Independent Labor Inspectorate, in the context of upgrading its role as the guardian of legality in the labor market, will soon implement, in its Regional Directorates throughout the territory, an advanced Business Intelligence (BI) system.

This system has the ability to reveal any violations resulting from the use of the digital labor card, as well as violations related to other provisions of the regulatory framework, such as the payment of the minimum wage. The use of the BI system in no way abolishes on-site inspections. On the contrary, it works in combination, in order to ensure compliance with legality for the benefit of both the employee and the employer who operates legally and is affected by unfair competition.

“As an Independent Labor Inspectorate, we believe that all businesses whose sectors have been included in the digital labor card system will comply with the current regulatory framework, so that employees, employers and the control mechanism can jointly contribute, not only to a labor market that operates according to rules, but also to a fairer society,” emphasizes the director of the Labor Inspectorate, George Tzilivakis.
