A permit and a positive opinion for two floating platforms were issued by the competent bodies, for placement in the maritime areas of Corfu and Skopelos.
Specifically, the General Secretariat of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments, approved the placement of a floating platform, with a total area of 23.99 sq.m. in the maritime zone of the port of Agios Stefanos, Sinia, Corfu, on behalf of Ms. Salvanos Aikaterini – Josset tou Filippou for seasonal use up to 9 months, with the aim of using it as a starting and parking point, motorized and non-motorized, marine recreational vehicles.
The sole service of access to and from the floating platform, from and to land respectively, and if any other means of access is deemed inappropriate by the competent Port Authority, taking into account, in particular, any particularities of the area, will be carried out by the installation and use of a floating access corridor (catwalk) measuring 3.60 sq.m.
It is noted that the floating platform will be placed in the position provided for by the topographic survey without interference with the shoreline, while its use is not permitted for the installation and operation of restaurants or recreation centers, nor may it serve permanent boat mooring positions or advertising purposes.
At the same time, the Municipality of Skopelos gave a positive opinion regarding the construction of platforms in front of the ADRINA RESORT hotel, in the Panormos area of Skopelos.
According to the opinions of the First Port Department of Skopelos, in the construction areas of the project there are no defined boundaries of the coastline-beach-land and sea zone of the port, while the concession does not give rise to issues of obstruction of port services or shipping activities, such as the approach to the beaches of Panormos-Milia, as well as the safe passage of vessels.
Finally, the completion of the above project aims to contribute to the smooth and safe circulation-mooring of vessels of all types visiting the area as well as to serve the hotel which is a tourist destination.
