Omnibus Bill: Airbnb rentals permitted only for 90 days max per year in Greece

The taxation of income from short-term rental properties (Airbnb) will be regulated with the omnibus bill submitted to Parliament late on Monday.

In particular, it is provided that the income from that kind of rent will be taxed under the provisions for the taxation of rents. Based on the regulation, the lessee must submit a Statement of Property Lease.

It also provides for the possibility of renting such an accommodation only for 90 days per year and, in the case of islands with over 10,000 residents, only for 60 days. These limits can only be exceeded for those with income not exceeding 12,000 euros.
