A bill proposal seeking to regulate tourist accommodation booked on sites such as Airbnb will be soon tabled for discussion before the plenary of the House of Representatives as the debate at the parliamentary tourism committee has been almost concluded, CNA reports.
Deputy Minister for Tourism Savvas Perdios expressed his contentment over the development, in statements to the press following Tuesday’s session of the committee, noting that the bill proposal would contribute to the upgrading of Cyprus’ tourism product.
“Once every individual will be able to renovate and rent their property, new horizons will open up, especially for agritourism”, he noted.
