#takemethere: The new message of the Greek islands

The new South Aegean Region tourism campaign was presented yesterday, at the opening day of London’s World Travel Market, placing the region in the spotlight of the international exhibition.

The region’s new slogan #takemethere, was strategically positioned at the entrance of London’s Excel exhibition center, inviting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Greek islands and attracting the interest of all the international media covering the event.

The new tourism promotion strategy of the South Aegean Region is stylish, modern, fresh and repositions the islands at the top of the international audience’s minds.

Unique identity

The campaign is designed to operate in printed and electronic media as well as the internet and, during the next six months, will be tailored to suit the needs of each island with respect to its unique identity.

As part of this new impressive and optimistic relaunching of the islands’ image, South Aegean Region’s Governor George Hatzimarkos met with the famous CNN anchorman and international TV persona Richard Quest who was accompanied by CNN’s International Television Network Vice President Antonio Canto.
