Hotel reservations on Rhodes exceed 90 percent of the capacity, increasing optimism over an extended tourism season this year, according to recent data.
Rhodes’ tour operators and hoteliers estimated that the reservations would remain at high levels in the following weeks.
On their part, hotel managers underlined that despite the increase in arrivals as a result of the fact that less people travel to Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt, the revenues remain at low levels because tourists are of low income. On top of that, all inclusive packages, as they said, have had a negative impact on the local market.
