Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Ltd. founder Athanasios Martinos was the recipient of this year’s top honor by the Hellenic Institute for Marine Technology (ELINT) for his major contributions to the global shipping sector and charity.
A ceremony took place during the organization’s annual two-day conference in Athens last week, whose theme this year was entitled “Modern Marine Technology – The Greek Reality”.
The event was attended by the relevant minister, Panayiotis Kouroumblis, the head of the coast guard, shipping executives and members of the institute.
