The Israeli authorities have expressed their deep gratitude to Cyprus for responded with alacrity to the catastrophe that confronted Israel with the outbreak of the fire.
According to the spokeswoman of the Civil Defence Olivia Michaelidou “the authorities in Israel expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude for the help the Republic of Cyprus has offered them.”
Cyprus’ 69-member team responded this morning to some fire incidents along with their Israeli colleagues, according to the Spokeswoman of the Civil Defence, where the Cypriot team was under its coordination.
The Cypriot team comprised 28 firemen, 24 rescuers of the Civil Defence and 17 forest firefighters.
Meanwhile, according to the Cyprus Fire Service, its 28-member team responded to all kinds of incidents, like urban fires or fires in the countryside or rescue missions from accidents, in Haifa, Hadera and Tivon.
