“Greece ranked first in the absorption of Community funds in the period 2007-2013, and its achievements will be even greater in the running period 2014-2020”, announced European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Crețu to the Plenary Session of the European Parliament, in Strasbourg.
Mrs. Crețu stressed “the positive impact” of the financing measures passed in favor of Greece in 2015, following a Commission proposition. The Commissioner stressed that these measures show that the Cohesion and Solidarity policy is working, and that “the Commission supports the Greek authorities when it comes to growth and employment”.
