Residents of Cyprus that returned from a trip abroad reached 110.849 in December 2017, recording an increase of 5% on an annual basis.
On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, compared to November 2017, Cypriot residents` trips abroad in December, grew by 17%.
Greece has remained the most popular destination in December, with a total of 39,268 trips, despite the 9.7% year-on-year drop.
United Kingdom holds the second place with 29.707 trips in December, showing a rise of 18% compared to December 2016.
Returns from Russia recorded a large annual decline of 23.5% reaching 3.765.
A rise of 11.7% was recorded in returns from Germany, which amounted to 4.565 in the last month of 2017.
