In May 2018, deposits placed by the private sector increased by 919 million euros, compared with an increase of 870 million euros in the previous month and the annual growth rate stood at 7.4 pct from 7.2 pct in the previous month, according to the Bank of Greece, ANA reports.
In the same period, corporate deposits grew by 580 million euros, compared with an increase of 866 million euros in the previous month and the annual growth rate stood at 13.1 pct from 14.9 pct in the previous month. In particular, deposits from non-financial corporations increased by 747 million euros, against an increase of 120 million euros in the previous month, while deposits placed by insurance corporations and other financial intermediaries decreased by 167 million euros, in May 2018, compared with an increase of 746 million euros in the previous month.
