If the Dutch go on holidays to Greece they prefer to stay in an apartment.
From an online survey by Griekenland.net with 1.300 visitors it appears that 50% choose an apartment as their accommodation during their trip to Greece. Also hotels (32%) are popular in The Netherlands for Greece.
To rent a villa is rising by Dutch tourists. 7% of would like to stay in a (luxury) villa on their Greek destination.
They prefer this accommodation as families like to spend more time together on vacations and like to have an own place to relax. To spend more quality time with family and friends are on top of their to do list.
The demand for bigger apartments as an accommodation is trending. People prefer a three room apartment in stead of a two room accommodation. A small group (6%) like to go with camper to Greece on holidays.
The mainland in Greece, particular the Peloponnese, is popular for camping. To stay on the sea during their holidays in Greece, cruise or sailing boat, is booked by 2% of the participants.
