Greek exports hit a new historic record of 33.80 billion euros in 2019, contributing to the growth of the Greek economy, according to data from the Panhellenic Exporters Association (PEA), int.ert.gr reports.
As the Association’s official announcement states, despite the adversities and obstacles presented in international trade (Trump tariffs, BREXIT) last year, Greek exports were able to maintain their momentum. Based on PEA data, exports last year increased by a total of 329.1 million euros (1%) reaching 33.80 billion, from 33.47 billion in 2018.
Imports in 2019, nevertheless, also increased, to about 1.4 billion euros (2.6%) compared to the previous year, with their total value reaching 55.52 billion euros.
