Greek Tourism 2025 | +11% tourism revenue in the first half, only +0.6% arrivals

Contrary to the general feeling of professionals across the spectrum of tourism activity for reduced tourist spending in Greece this year, data from the Bank of Greece show that travel receipts in the first half of 2025 increased by 11%, although arrivals of non-resident travelers increased slightly by 0.6%.

Specifically, in the January-June 2025 half-year, travel receipts amounted to approximately 7.66 billion euros compared to approximately 6.9 billion euros in the corresponding half-year of 2024. That is, an increase of 760 million euros in travel receipts was recorded in the half-year.

In June alone, travel receipts increased by 268 million euros (+8.8%), reaching 3.3 billion euros, although non-resident traveler arrivals decreased by 1.7%.
