Arrivals and overnight stays in the country’s tourist accommodations were marginally increased in September 2025 compared to the corresponding month of 2024.
According to the provisional data announced by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), arrivals increased by 0.7% and amounted to 5.1 million and overnight stays increased by 0.9% and amounted to 23.3 million.
As shown by the ELSTAT survey, which concerns hotel-type accommodations, campsites, and short-stay collective accommodations (rented rooms), in September 2025 an increase of 0.5% was observed in arrivals and 0.8% in overnight stays of foreigners.
Correspondingly, for residents, an increase in arrivals and overnight stays was observed by 1.6% and 2.3%, respectively.
A greater contribution to arrivals and overnight stays in total accommodations was observed by foreigners with a share of 82.4% and 90.1%, respectively.
The average total overnight stay for September 2025 amounted to 4.6 days.
