European Commission spokesperson Annika Breidthadt announced a Eurogroup meeting on Thursday had yet to be set and would depend on the progress of talks between Greece and the institutions, Monday.
During the press briefing, Monday, the EC spokesperson underlined that if ‘sufficient progress was made an extra ordinary Eurogroup meeting would be held’.
On the issue of what the ‘preventive measures’ would be and how they would be implemented she commented that the mechanism would have to act as a ‘safety switch’ for the creditors, adding that it was too soon to provide any details on the plan.
