Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has called a meeting to discuss the refugee crisis and how it is affecting the island of Lesvos, at 11am on Friday.
The Mayor of Lesvos Spyros Galinos, the Regional Governor of the Northern Aegean Christiana Kalogirou and president of the municipal community of Moria Nikos Trakellis will attend the meeting. Officers of the local police force will also participate.
Additionally, the General Secretary of Aegean and Island Policy Yannis Giannellis as well as local MPs Charalambos Athanasiou, Giorgos Pallis and Stavros Tasos have been invited to the meeting.
