Greece’s main opposition New Democracy criticized the government’s sudden decision to distribute a handout, known as social dividend, to young, unemployed Greeks pointing out that what they really need is opportunities and jobs, ANA reports.
“It took them a month to realize they had forgotten to include the young in the social dividend. But the young need opportunities and jobs that this government cannot create,” the party stated, adding the government is panicking because they know “their time is running out.”
