EU announces measures against Turkey's illegal drilling in Cyprus' EEZ

The Foreign Ministers of the 28 EU member-states approved measures against Turkey over its illegal drilling in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) on Monday, endorsing the conclusions prepared by the permanent representatives without any changes, CNA reports.

The measures include cutting EU pre-accession assistance for 2020, suspending EU-Turkey high-level talks, and ceasing the European Investment Bank’s lending activities in the country.
