A total of 61,508 individuals were prevented from entering Greece illegally between February 28 and August 3, National Defence Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos said on Monday, according to ANA.
Responding to a question in parliament tabled by Elliniki Lysi MP Antonis Mylonakis on “the invasion from Evros” in NE Greece which he claimed continues, Panagiotopoulos also referred to measures adopted for the protection of the border area, including electronic surveillance.
