Restriction measures partially lifted for Greek island of Poros

Some of the strict measures imposed on Poros to limit the spread of coronavirus cases have been lifted, but the island will remain under close observation by authorities.

Two measures will still remain in place between Tuesday, August 25 and Tuesday, September 1:

– The shutdown of eating and entertainment venues (bars, discos and such) from midnight to 07:00 am, and
– A maximum limit of 50 people allowed at any public and social events and gatherings. This exempts restaurants, theatres and cinemas, which observe particular measures.

Areas in Greece still under restrictive measures related to the pandemic include the following: All of Crete, Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, Attica, the greater metropolitan areas of Thessaloniki, Larissa, Corfu, Karditsa, Pella, Pieria and Lesvos, and the municipalities of Santorini, Volos, Katerini, Rhodes, Zakynthos and Kos.
