“Greece has sent Turkey a message in the sea and in the air and also sent it at Evros last February that we are not playing,” Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis said in an interview with SKAI television on Saturday, according to ANA.
“We have the strength to reply decisively to every Turkish challenge,” he said, while noting that Greece was not the one provoking.
Commenting on the outcome of the informal EU foreign ministers’ meeting on Friday, he pointed out that Europe was standing at Greece’s side, with a framework of sanctions in the face of Turkish provocativeness being a good basis for a discussion on the level of leaders.
