Greek PM expresses solidarity to Poland facing weaponisation of migrants

“Today marks National Independence Day in Poland. We express our long-standing friendship and our solidarity as they face a hostile neighbour weaponising migration for political purposes,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis posted on Thursday on Twitter, greekcitytimes.com reports.

“The situation is completely unacceptable and must stop in Poland and across Europe,” he added.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called on member states on Monday to impose new sanctions against Belarus, pointing out the country is responsible for an influx of migrants at the Polish border.
