Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will continue the diplomatic marathon in the coming days in order to promote Greece’s positions, but also to strengthen the ties already built, according to diplomatic sources, ANA reports.
He is expected to travel to Vienna on New Year’s Eve, at the official invitation of his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg, where he is expected to attend a working lunch with the participation of former Foreign Minister Michael Linhart who will take over the duties of Austrian Ambassador to Berlin. Earlier, also at the invitation of Schallenberg, the two Foreign Ministers will jointly attend the New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Additionally, Dendias is expected to receive in Athens, on January 4, the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal.
The foreign minister is expected to visit two of sub-Saharan Africa’s largest economic powers, Nigeria and Angola, between January 9 and 11.
Dendias is then expected to travel to Brest for the informal EU Council of Foreign Ministers.
