Greek Parliament greenlights Ministry of Health amendment on LGBTQ rights

The Greek parliament approved by the majority an amendment of the Ministry of Health concerning the criminal and administrative sanctions to professionals who promote or apply practices of conversion of sexual orientation or gender identity to minors, protothema.gr reports.

This amendment, introduced in the context of the bill for the “Personal Doctor”, institutionalizes the prohibition of the method of conversion, that is, an attempt that is considered to try to change the sexual orientation, identity, and gender expression of an LGBT person.
