Land-use and Green Fund bill passes in Greek Parliament with ruling party votes

An Environment and Energy Ministry bill on land use and Green Fund resources passed in Parliament’s plenary session on Thursday evening, solely on ruling New Democracy (ND) votes. All opposition parties turned it down, ANA reports.

The bill was titled “Building, construction terms, permitted land uses for data centers, land use, and urban planning regulations, use of Green Fund resources and other environmental and energy provisions”.

An amendment changing burial fees, holding auctions for forest biomass, and a coordinator to develop the Metropolitan Axis of Hellinikon-Agios Kosmas and the land uses for its sports facilities, passed only with the votes of ND and Niki, while the rest of the parties voted against it.
