Greece’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs George Kotsiras briefed a delegation of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association on the Foreign Ministry’s strategic plan for the Greek diaspora, ANA reports.
He also informed about the priorities of Greek foreign policy and the actions being implemented to strengthen ties with the Greek Diaspora.
At the meeting organized on Tuesday, the Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out the important and substantial contribution of Greek MPs abroad in promoting the image of Greece internationally. “Our constant aim is to maintain our regular, two-way communication,” he underlined.
The meeting was attended by World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association President and Rhode Island State Senator Leonidas Raptakis, Vice President and MP of Ontario Canada Effie Triantafilopoulos, as well as MPs Marietta Karamanli (France), Aris Babikian (Canada), George Michalakis (South Africa), Nicole Klarides (Connecticut, USA) and Steve Malagari (Pennsylvania, USA).
