N. Kerameos meets with company representatives ahead of "Rebrain Greece" in New York

A meeting with representatives of 33 companies that will participate in the upcoming extroversion action “REBRAIN GREECE” to be held in New York on December 7, 2025, aimed at the repatriation of Greeks abroad, was held by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameos.

The purpose of the meeting was the coordination of all parties involved for the smooth conduct of the event.

“Our goal is common and national. You need specialized personnel, we want to repatriate the largest possible number of our compatriots back to the country. We want new, well-paid jobs to open. There is no doubt that the labor market has changed a lot. From where we had a very high unemployment rate that reached 28% during the crisis, in 2019, which the Government took over, it was at 18%, now we are at 8%. This implies new jobs. As the unemployment rate decreases and we enter the hard core of unemployment, businesses have difficulty finding human resources. Our goal is to maintain the country’s growth rate and expand it. Our effort is to find other reservoirs, since we have largely exhausted the domestic potential, to go beyond the borders and find our Greek compatriots par excellence who left in search of better professional opportunities. We want to attract them back to our homeland. “, stated the Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameus.

The dialogue with the representatives of the companies took place in a particularly positive atmosphere. The Minister mentioned the previous four events which took place in Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and London.
