Cheer-leading has been officially permitted to enter Greek public schools following a relevant decision by the head of the general directorate of primary and secondary education, Konstantinos Tsachalas, protothema.gr reports.
As the decision noted, the entry of the dancing/sporting activity will be allowed to selected representatives of the Hellenic Cheerleading Federation – Athletic Group Dance in Primary, junior, and senior high schools.
The Hellenic Cheerleading Federation – Athletic Group Dance asked permission from the Ministry of Education for its representatives to visit the schools, a request that was granted by the ministry “in the context of spreading the sports spirit and the involvement of young children in sports”.
