It’s always great as an employee when our boss shows his or her appreciation for all our hard work throughout the year with an extra bonus at Christmas or a gift. For this reason, the 2,500 staff that work for millionaire businessman Li Jinyuan must be over the moon after he decided to take them all away on holiday in Spain.
Jinyuan, President of the Tiens Group has chosen Spain for the first time to celebrate the anniversary of the company, and the massive group will be arriving at Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport in just two days’ time in a convoy of 20 aeroplanes.
The trip, during which the employees and their boss will enjoy plenty of cultural activities, will set the Chinese magnate back 7 million euro, much of which will be invested into Spain’s economy on 1,650 hotel rooms, 70 coaches or four full AVE trains, and meals out in many top-quality restaurants.
After arriving in the capital on Wednesday, the group will stay in Madrid until Sunday, after which they will move onto the country’s second city, Barcelona, by train where they will end their stay on Tuesday 10 May.
The employees will enjoy a complete programme of diverse cultural and fun activities during their stay, including visits to the Royal Palace in Madrid, Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia cathedral, and the historical city of Toledo.
And the holiday won’t be complete without carrying out a bit of shopping, either. The group will spend some of their hard-earned wages in El Corte Inglés or in La Roca Village, a designer outlet centre just outside of Barcelona (https://www.larocavillage.com/en/home/), where they will be spoilt for choice with fashion, jewellery, handbags, watches and shoes from some of the world’s biggest designers and brands.
