Every year, the Frankfurt book fair is the most important and largest international book fair in Europe. The honored country for 2017 is France.
Presenting a wide collection of 200 books from 60 publishers, and an events-packed program, Greece will feature at the 69th International Book Fair in Frankfurt, which opened on Wednesday, October 11. The Hellenic Foundation for Culture hasput together the Greek delegation, under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, and in collaboration with the Greek publishers, Greece’s Consulate General in Frankfurt, and the Greek Tourism Organization in Frankfurt.
Children’s books, modern Greek poetry and prose, essays, translated Greek books and art albums are the basic themes of the Greek stand in Frankfurt, which will be inaugurated by Greek General Consul in Frankfurt, Maria Zissi.
In the book fair’s context, yesterday Minister of Culture Lydia Koniordou met with her German counterpart Monica Grouters.
