Athens mayor Giorgos Kaminis and Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee member Cai Qi Zhang Shuofu agreed in a meeting in Athens on Wednesday to work on closer cooperation between Athens and Beijing in tourism, attract investments and boost culture and education, ANA reports.
The meeting was the third step in an effort by the Athens municipality to cooperate closer with Beijing. In 2013, Kaminis visited the Chinese city as part of a business delegation and in 2016 the two cities signed an agreement to jointly work on economic and cultural issues.
