The Athens city council is teaming up with Mastercard, via Athens Tourism Partnership, to promote the city as an upcoming city break destination and created a digital platform to promote the Greek capital abroad, ANA reports.
As highlighted in an event that was held in Athens, the campaign promoting Athens presents experiences designed exclusively for Mastercard cardholders.
By using the Athens Tourism Partnership and with a “Together for Athens” central message, the Athens mayor undertook two years ago an initiative bringing together top tourism groups, such as Aegean and the Athens International Airport in an original deal between a council and private business. With support of Marketing Greece, it set the target of promoting authentic Athens experiences and its gradual establishment as a top city break in southern Europe.
The cooperation with Mastercard inaugurates the next big steps for Athens Tourism Partnership as well as its expansion with the participation of large groups, institutes and companies in relation to the tourism development of the city.
