Greek Minister plans to re-establish municipal police for safer neighbourhoods

Greece’s Ιnterior Minister Takis Theodorikakos in an interview to the Sunday newspaper Proto Thema stressed the need for all to adopt a responsible patriotism that will allow political convergence and cohesion to a national strategy in order to address the historic challenges that the country is facing in terms of the Greek-Turkish relations and of the pandemic, ANA reports.

In parallel, he announced his intention to re-establish ‘strong municipal police that would essentially contribute to the order and safety in the neighborhoods, in the cities, and in the towns.
