The familiar odds-evens system that allows vehicles to enter an area of central Athens known as the “Daktylios” only on alternate days is to return from next Monday, October 25. This year, however, it will be upgraded with its own digital platform and pass, as well as new rules regarding the vehicles that are exempt from the restrictions, ANA reports.
According to Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis, in statements on SKAI television on Thursday, his ministry is working with the transport ministry to set up the new electronic platform on the gov. gr portal where drivers, using their taxis net codes, can find out if their vehicle qualifies for a “Daktylios” pass allowing them to freely enter central Athens.
