Municipality of Athens to offer Christmas dinners to the homeless citizens

Τhe Municipality of Athens, in an announcement on Friday, said that 1,200 festive Christmas and holiday dinners a day will be handed out on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, on New Year’s Eve, and on January 1, 2022, to the homeless on the streets or staying in homeless shelters run by a municipality or other bodies, ANA reports.
Over 300 of the meals will be offered to the homeless on the street.
Each meal will include a main dish, starters, Christmas sweets, and soft drinks.
The municipality has also distributed food, gifts for children, and other essential goods to thousands of households living in poverty.
