Media report: A fox went for a walk near the Acropolis in Athens (video)

An extremely rare sight was recorded by a TikTok user who captured a fox strolling along the pedestrian street of Dionysios Aeropagitou below the Acropolis, greekcitytimes.com reports.

Even though these animals have been recorded in other areas of Attica, the sight in the center of Athens was nevertheless surprising.

Commentators of the video requested animal welfare organizations to be informed as the fox will not survive such a hostile and developed environment as the center of the Greek capital.

Others commented that these images are a result of the hunger felt by such animals as they are choosing to descend into populated areas in order to find food.

In any case, these are images that one does not often come across in the center of a metropolis.
