Municipal and local authority workers on Thursday announced a 24-hour nationwide strike to be held on Thursday, December 14, ANA reports.
A protest gathering and march will be held on the day at Karaiskaki Square in central Athens.
In its announcement, the workers’ union POE-OTA noted the “continued discrediting of local government services and the disdainful treatment of employees by the New Democracy government and some elected officials.”
