The Municipality of Athens is proceeding with a new tender process with a change in the terms for the provision of accommodation services in a classic-type hotel for the accommodation of vulnerable groups – drug addicts for the needs of the Social Solidarity Directorate.
The total expenditure for 8 months amounts to 726,585.10 euros including VAT as well as the corresponding climate crisis resilience fee.
Specifically, the subject of the contract is the provision of accommodation services in a classic-type hotel, within the boundaries of the municipality for the temporary accommodation of drug addicts and the protection of vulnerable groups of the population in general, in order to ensure public health, including the provision of breakfast, for the people who will stay in the hotel.
During the term of the contract with the Directorate of Social Solidarity, no third parties will be accommodated except for dependents who will be indicated by the competent Department of Equality Policies and Anti-Discrimination of the Directorate of Social Solidarity. The accommodation services concern 106 beds with breakfast in double or single rooms.
The award criterion is the most economically advantageous offer exclusively based on the price per bed with breakfast. The possibility of reducing the number of beds by up to 20% per day is foreseen depending on the needs of the Directorate of Social Solidarity in relation to the number of requests received by the Agency.
In the event that the accommodation needs of dependents are reduced by more than 20%, then the Municipality of Athens is obliged to compensate the Contractor by paying 50% of the award price per vacant bed with breakfast daily and until the beds are covered.
For valid participation in the procedure for concluding this contract, a participation guarantee letter is submitted by the participating economic operators, the amount of which amounts to 1% of the estimated total value of the contract excluding VAT and the climate crisis resilience fee.
Specifically, the amount of the guarantee letter amounts to 5,896.99 euros. Economic operators are required to have an average specific turnover of the last three management years at least equal to or greater than 50% of the estimated value of the contract, excluding VAT, the climate resilience fee, for the entire service provision under contract.
