A new three-day multisport event is to be held of the Greek Isle of Syros on the 10-12 June 2016.
The main event is the sprint-distance Trimore Syros Triathlon (www.syrostriathlon.gr/en/), which is complemented with many others side events that are taking place in the capital of the Cyclades islands.
The first Trimore Syros Triathlon is aiming to make the event a celebration not only for athletes but for the spectators too, aiming to pave Syros indelibly in the hearts and minds of all attendees.
The race will see athletes of all ages partake in a 750m sea swim in the historic port, a 20km bike along the entire harbour and up to Megas Gialos and a 5km run through the marble streets of the historic town.
A kids’ triathlon, 5km run city race-for-all, a cycling tour of Syros, obstacle swimming, as well as other non-sporting events.

12:00 – 13:00 Hermoupolis Cycling Tour (Hermoupolis)
17:00 – 18:00 5km running within the city (Hermoupolis – Miaouli sq)
19:00 – 20:30 Ceremony Awards (Miaouli sq)
20:30 – 00:30 DJ party (Miaouli sq)

10:30 – 11:30 Olympic sport revival: Obstacle Swimming (Nissaki)
12:00 – 13:00 Awards Ceremony (Nissaki)
Aegean Air is cooperating and offering free bike transfer. From Athens, a return boat ticket to Syros Island will be £150. This price includes boat tickets, accommodation and race fees (for one person).
