Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) announced that the island will host the next general meeting of the European Travel Commssion (ETC) in May.
The general meeting will take place from May 11-12, 2016 in the free Ammochostos region.
The decision to elect Cyprus for the event was achieved as part of a proposal by acting general manager, CTO, Annita Demetriadou, which was submitted at the last ETC general assembly in October 2015 – the commission’s 90th general meeting held in Belgrade, Serbia.
According to CTO, the hosting of the meeting on the island is an honour and proves the appreciation and trust which Cyprus enjoys in European decision-making bodies.
