Panhellenic Scholarship Foundation’s 2016 Awards Ceremony & Gala in Chicago

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation held its annual full-governance meeting on April 20, 2016 at the offices of Holland & Knight in Chicago. This meeting included the Board of Directors, the Board of Advisors, and the Academic Committee. Past scholarship award recipients also met informally to discuss the formation of a Junior Board.

Chairman Robert A. Buhler presided over the meeting, and the Board discussed the affairs of the Foundation. Topics included the legacy of Founder Chris P. Tomaras, the 2016 Awards Ceremony & Gala, this year’s scholarship applications, and fundraising. A special thanks was given to the Academic Committee for their countless hours of hard work reviewing and evaluating all of the scholarship applications this spring.

All Board members are very grateful to be such an integral part of the Foundation, and feel privileged to carry on the great legacy left by Mr. Tomaras. The Board is unified in its support of the mission of the Foundation, and is honored to serve and ensure that the Foundation lives in perpetuity.

Chairman Robert Buhler said, “I am grateful to these talented individuals who have volunteered their time and expertise to the Board. Together, we are certain the growth of the Foundation will further its national reach, and become the preeminent Greek American scholarship organization for undergraduates across the country. We will strongly continue what Mr. Tomaras started, building the Foundation into everything he dreamed it could be.”

The 2016 Awards Ceremony & Gala will take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago on Saturday, June 18. The theme, “Preserving the Legacy,” is a tribute to our Founder, the late Chris P. Tomaras. Please join us to honor his memory and celebrate our scholarship recipients. To reserve your gala tickets, visit www.panhellenicsf.org or call our office at (312) 357-6432.
