On the occasion of the celebrations for the 300th anniversary from the siege of Corfu on Thursday, the 19th of May, at 8:00 p.m. at the church of St. George, a concert will be given by the Ionian University’s Department of Music Studies (Old Fortress).
The musical ensembles of the DMS will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s “Juditha Triumphans” Oratorio.
On Sunday, the 22nd of May, at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Gallery of Corfu a special edition of the album that was produced to commemorate the 1716 siege will be presented.
The album will be presented by Mrs Maria Mouzakiti,Vice-mayor of Education, Field Marshal Schulenburg’s descendant, Mr. Fritz von der Schulenburg.
Mrs Elena Vousolinou, Phd of the Ionian University and Mr Dimitris Metallinos, Phd of the Ionian University will kindly introduce the presentation.
A cocktail will follow.
