Terror attack fears overshadow Euro 2016 starting today (video)

Euro2016 kicks off on Friday with France facing Romania at the Stade de France amid security fears. 24 teams will fight each other from June 10 to July 10 for the Euro2016 trophy and about 8 million fans are expected to visit France to watch the matches.

France is still under a state of emergency after last November’s terrorist attacks on Paris, with more than 90,000 police, soldiers and private guards to be deployed during the tournament.

The US and British governments have warned fans they could be at risk, but Uefa and the French authorities insist they have done everything possible to keep fans safe.
