ITB Berlin exhibition reorganises halls to enhance show experience – Greece relocated for 2017

Planning next year’s show, ITB Berlin has revealed that it is reorganising its halls to offer growing market segments more space on the show floor.

Organizers of the event, which attracts more than 180,000 visitors and brings together over 10,000 exhibitors from some 180 countries, are claiming the decision comes after taking world travel industry changes into account.

Head, ITB Berlin, David Ruetz explained: “In recent years there has been an increase in demand for more floor space and two-tier stands for certain markets which up to now we have been unable to satisfy. Several display halls already have waiting lists. By reorganising the halls to suit the market we are now able to meet this demand.

The new hall concept will allow MENA region attendees from the ever-blossoming Arab market to enlarge their displays. Next year’s edition of the show will also boast a better concentration of markets, making it easier for trade visitors to plan their visit.

ITB offcials argue that there is a better concentration of markets, which makes it easier for visitors to plan their visit. A new map of the exhibition’s grounds, can be found here.

According to the new plan, the United Arab Emirates have moved to a new central location in Hall 2.2. Egypt, Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia will be in Hall 4.2.

On the other hand, major Mediterranean destinations, including Greece, France, Gibraltar, Portugal, Cyprus and Spain, have been relocated to the entrance areas in Halls 1.1 and 2.1, directly next the South Entrance.
