The countdown for the 6th Athens Half-Marathon, the capital’s great sporting event of the spring season, to be held on Sunday, March 19, has already begun, drawing more than 21.000 entrants, establishing the institution’s appeal within the international runners community.
In addition to the Half-Marathon, 5 and 3 klm courses are run, as well as a 1000 m course for children and runners with disabilities. The Half-Marathon starts at 9 am on Sunday, at the Syntagma square.
Athens mayor, Yiorgos Kaminis, said “the Athens Half-Marathon is part of the City of Athens’ targeted efforts to make Athens an enjoyable and attractive tourist destination”.
