Greekblue Art Exhibition in Amorgos island

Colors inspired by the Greek sky, the nature and the sea, images that take you to the unique scenery of the Greek Islands, emotions of happiness from the everyday life of people living on the picturesque Mediterranean land.

The exhibition of the Greek painter Angela Petrova is a wonderful journey to the Greek Islands. Simplicity, harmony and beauty of Greece are captured on the canvas with paints of hagiography and through the Expressionist touch of the painter.

The artwork is presented for the first time on the island of endless Blue, Amorgos, an island that stands out for its natural charm and authenticity.

”Amorgos, is the island that symbolize Freedom. Your soul is released when your eyes are lost in the immense blue of the sea. I chose Amorgos for my art exhibition exactly for this element. Fishermen fishing under the moonlight, fishermen on the pier, lonely boats in blue waters, and the Greek sunset promising you a next sunny and brighter day on the Greek land. All these moments were real painting on their own for me “ says the painter Angela Petrova.

The exhibition “Greekblue” by Angela Petrova is hosted at Aegialis Gallery & Spa Hotel  from 31 May to 31 October 2017.

Angela Petrova was born in Athens and she has been working in the art of painting from an early age as an inherent talent. “I remember myself with a pencil and a brush in my hand and my hands full of colours. The painting was the way to find peace in me, creating a world through my colours.”

Angela, with studies in Classic Song, had a natural drive towards spirituality from a young age. Her metaphysical concerns led her in an internal search and meditation journey, also through the paths of India, where she began to teach the Art of Meditation itself.
